Jagruti Savant (b. 1996, Mumbai) is a Los Angeles and Mumbai based artist exploring capitalism, systemic racism, governmental surveillance and femininity. Influenced by her cultural heritage and personal experiences, she embraces a raw creative process as rejecting capitalist excess. Her passion for photography began with her maternal grandfather, a professional photographer and artist. Savant holds a bachelor’s in Animation and Visual Effects from Frameboxx, Mumbai and an MFA in Photography from the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles. Her art has been exhibited across multiple galleries.
